For Monday/Tuesday (Oct. 20-21), students will complete a 1st-person open letter written to King Louis XIV. The King has created new laws which give him unlimited powers, taxing the commoners and not the nobility, and claiming his power comes directly from God (Divine Right). Your job is to write a letter challenging the King's laws and providing solution based on your philosophical and other's beliefs that question the power of the absolute monarch.
